Photography Talks

I give lectures and seminars to photo clubs, arts organizations, and photo festivals around the world. My talks focus on photography as a creative practice, rather than a technical and mechanical exercise. So much of photography education focuses on the technical. I'm interested in opening a conversation about what it really means to be an artist. 

I speak with groups about cultivating a personal aesthetic, living a meaningful creative life, and overcoming common stumbling blocks, as well as portfolio creation, portfolio reviews, and exhibiting work.

I'm also available to talk about online arts education and new models for learning.
